Now More Than Ever, It Matters
Sharing a camp cabin, staying up past curfew, canoeing on a private lake and toasting marshmallows in front of a campfire are unforgettable experiences that truly change lives and open hearts and minds.
YAI, in partnership with Frost Valley YMCA, offers a beautiful place in the Catskills where children with developmental disabilities, such as autism, intellectual disabilities and Down syndrome can participate alongside their typically developing peers.
Unfortunately, many families find camp financially out of reach. For children with disabilities, it’s especially hard to go to camp because they need specialized and individualized heath care. This program is not entirely covered by government funding, which makes the $1,500 out of pocket expense for a two week stay extremely costly for parents.
Do you remember sending your first letter to your parents or grandparents when you were at camp? Do you remember how you felt at the end of the summer? Your gift of $500, $250, or even $50 to the Brighter Futures Society's Camp Scholarship Fund will make a tremendous and lasting difference in the lives of kids with disabilities
Your support will not only give a child the opportunity to experience camp and gain independence but also provide a much needed respite to parents. Your gift benefits the whole family. All donations to the Brighter Futures Society's Camp Scholarship Fund will make a tremendous and lasting difference in the lives of kids with disabilities.
